About this apprenticeship
Build the skills needed to engage, support and inspire young people aged 11-25. This Level 3 apprenticeship develops the knowledge, behaviours and practical experience required to support young people's personal, social and educational development while strengthening youth services within organisations.
Apprentices learn to build trusted relationships, deliver engaging programmes and create positive outcomes across a range of settings, including youth clubs, schools, community projects, charities and local authorities.

Learning and development outcomes:
Apprentices will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to:

- Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures

- Plan, deliver and evaluate youth work sessions

What you achieve
The Level 3 Youth Support Worker Apprenticeship has Youth Support Worker status recognition by the National Youth Agency Education, Training and Standards Committee on behalf of the Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) for Youth and Community Workers.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, learners will meet the minimum recognised requirement to work as a JNC-qualified Youth Support Worker, demonstrating the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to support young people's personal, social and educational development across a range of youth work settings.

Your progression pathway
After successful completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship, you can progress onto the Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship.
