About this apprenticeship
Develops the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults across a range of care settings. Suitable for both new entrants and existing care staff, the programme equips learners with the confidence and capability to support individuals in living independently, safely and with dignity.
Apprentices learn how to provide practical, emotional and social support, promote wellbeing, maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team. The apprenticeship is suitable across residential care, domiciliary care, day services, supported living and healthcare environments.

What you achieve
Upon successful completion of the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, learners will achieve a nationally recognised qualification demonstrating their ability to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care that supports independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
Learners will be able to:
- Deliver person-centred care that reflects individual preferences and needs
- Support adults to maintain independence, dignity and choice
- Recognise and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns

Your progression pathway
After successful completion of the Level 2 apprenticeship, learners may progress onto:
- Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship

- Team Leader and supervisory roles within care settings
This apprenticeship provides a strong foundation for a long-term career in adult social care, supporting progression into leadership, specialist practice and management roles
