About this apprenticeship
Build skills managing teams and services supporting children and families. This Level 5 Children, Young People and Families Manager apprenticeship teaches learners to build effective teams, manage resources and lead improved working practices.
Apprentices will work across organisations and partnerships to strengthen performance, safeguard individuals and achieve sustainable outcomes. Learners follow a specialist pathway in children’s residential care or community management, placing children, young people and families at the centre of practice.

Learning and development outcomes:
Apprentices will develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to:
- Lead and develop effective teams.
- Manage safeguarding and risk.
- Deliver high-quality staff supervision.
- Manage people, budgets and resources.

The programme is aligned with the national Children, Young People and Families Manager apprenticeship standard and includes a residential care or community pathway.
