Starting the Leader in Adult Care Level 5 Qualification

When Tilly began her Leader in Adult Care Level 5 qualification, she had a clear goal in mind: to continue progressing towards becoming a Registered Manager.

Overcoming Challenges as a Neurodiverse Learner

Like many learners, Tilly faced challenges along the way. As a neurodiverse learner, she knew that traditional approaches to learning did not always work for her. Building confidence and developing new skills while balancing a busy role in adult care required commitment, resilience and the right support.

Throughout the programme, Tilly's learning experience was tailored to suit her individual needs. Sessions were broken down into manageable steps, with time taken to ensure understanding and provide constructive feedback. This flexible, person-centred approach helped Tilly learn in a way that worked best for her while continuing to develop professionally.

Balancing Leadership Responsibilities and Learning

Alongside her qualification, Tilly was also taking on significant responsibilities at work. During this time, she supported the opening of two new services and managed challenging periods within her organisation, all while remaining focused on completing her studies.

The hard work paid off. Tilly successfully achieved her Leader in Adult Care Level 5 qualification and passed her End-Point Assessment. Just as importantly, she developed greater confidence in her abilities and leadership skills.
