Multiply - The Government's programme supporting adult numeracy skills

Studies show that half of the working population (which is around 17m people) currently do not hold a C/4 grade in GCSE maths and across the country there is a need for upskilling, particularly in times of economic challenges.

Multiply is a government-backed £560 million programme that aims to help transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of adults in the UK. We are a part of this scheme and are opening our courses to all those over age of 19 who would like to improve their Maths knowledge and skills.

As we all know, numeracy is the ability to understand and use maths in daily life, home, and work. It can help adults with improving their understanding of household finances, allow us to help children with homework, and enable everyone to make more sense of the stats and facts in the media.

People who improve their numeracy skills are more likely to be in employment, have higher wages and better wellbeing, and will be more able to progress in their chosen careers.

The aim of the Multiply programme is to ensure that by 2030, the number of people successfully completing high-quality skills training will have significantly increased in every area of the United Kingdom. Multiply looks to improve people’s ability to understand and use Maths in daily life, home, and work.
