Level 3 Youth Support Worker Apprenticeship

Launching June 2025!

We’ve partnered with The National Youth Agency (NYA) to offer the new Level 3 Youth Support Worker Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is designed for individuals passionate about supporting young people, promoting their personal and social development, and helping them achieve their potential in a safe and empowering environment.

  • Duration: 18 months (plus an additional 3 months for the end point assessment (EPA)
  • Study method: Blended learning (a mix of online study and face-to-face observations when required)
  • Funding options:
    • Fully funded through the apprenticeship levy for levy-paying organisations
    • Fully funded through our levy gifting partners for non-levy employers
    • This apprenticeship is funded through our partnership with the National Youth Agency (NYA) and NatWest Levy Share, ensuring accessible training opportunities for those working with young people
  • Functional skills: Optional for individuals aged 19+
  • Assessment methods: Ongoing assessments, workplace observations and a final EPA

Role overview

A Youth Support Worker plays a key role in engaging with young people to build positive relationships, provide guidance, and facilitate programmes that promote personal growth and well-being. This apprenticeship equips learners with the skills to support young people in various settings, including youth centres, schools, social services and community organisations.
