Course Overview

Well-led is a practical leadership development programme aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.  

Developed with input from experienced care team managers to address real-world challenges. It uses practical leadership models to drive change and promote best practices in social care delivery. The programme’s aim is to empower you to meet the expectations of a well-led service, supporting your development and providing opportunities for reflection and improvement.  

This programme spans a duration of four months. 

 Suitable audience: 

  • First Line Managers/ Service Manager/ Residential Unit Managers  
  • Middle Managers/ Assistant Directors 
  • Senior Managers/ Service Director/ Chief Executive  

Core units 

  • Develop a clear understanding of what well-led looks like in a care setting  
  • Understand Leadership strategies and techniques   
  • Learn to lead services in complex and challenging context  
  • Develop clear goals and commitments  
  • Learn from the experience of others by working with them in a range of collaborative learning activities and networking opportunities 

 

Lead-to-Succeed is a practical learning programme aimed at aspiring managers and deputies in adult social care services.  

It fosters leadership and management potential, provides knowledge, and offers support and challenges for practical application. Unlike traditional qualifications, Lead-to-Succeed facilitates peer connections among aspiring managers. Completing the programme equips learners with successful behaviours, practical strategies, and enhanced leadership and management abilities. With a focus on reflection, individuals learn from daily experiences and improve their performance by identifying areas for improvement and recognising their strengths. 

This programme spans a duration of three months.

Leading Change Improving Care is a practical leadership development programme aimed at registered managers and other managers currently working in adult social care services.  

This programme addresses current and future social care challenges by providing practical insights into influencing and implementing necessary changes. It covers effective leadership and change management within teams and organisations, equipping participants with tools and techniques to enhance the quality of care. LCIC encourages self-reflection on leadership styles and their impact on individuals and teams. It emphasises developing effective leadership skills, motivating teams, and fostering talent through mentoring and coaching. The programme also offers a valuable platform for peer collaboration and knowledge sharing within the sector. 

This programme spans a duration of four months.
