Adult Education (Southeast England)

Are you 19+, living in the southeast of England, and looking for a job or training to upskill? 

It can be challenging to find work or move up in your current job if you feel underqualified, but there is support available.   

Funded by the UK Government, Adult Education offers you the chance to boost your employability for free and, in addition, provides other support finding a job or learning new skills to find better work, or even an apprenticeship. 

The programme has a specific focus on upskilling in areas of particular importance right now, including health and social care, office administration, and digital skills.  

Support tailored to your needs 
After an assessment of your individual circumstances, Adult Education support will be tailored to best fit your needs and requirements. Free courses and support can include: 

  • Routes into health and social care  
  • Essential digital skills  
  • English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)  
  • Environmental awareness and climate change 
  • Upskilling in Maths and English 
  • CV and employability training   
  • Workplace skills   

Eligibility 

  • Aged 19+  
  • Live in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, Kent, Medway, Milton Keynes, Surrey, West Berkshire, or West Sussex  
  • Seeking employment or currently ‘under-employed’  
  • No existing qualifications at level 2 or higher
  • Have been living in the UK for 3+ years
